Comments on the second lesson with Annie

Paradox of reality and virtual reality. Simulation or illusion that occurs in the real/physical world. The advertisements trick people into believing that they need something, or fake news make people feel a certain way about someone. Sadly, I think this deprives people of thinking critically and make them be part of some army or cult. In most cases the things we see online are ads, product in particular, social media advocates that these products are necessary by paying people to say so. No one certainly knows whether it is worth it, yet people still invest in a “dream” idea that if the person they idolize uses this product or just took the time to talk about it, it means they can lead a similar life as them. It is a broken mirror concept in my opinion. “for the hyper realistic example I picked a fake Christmas tree because it is something that looks real but isn’t and for the VR app I picked Superhot VR which is a game in which the rules of time passing are completely different from the real world, the time passes when you move and when you don’t move the time is on pause/slow motion”.
