Comments on the fifth lesson with Despoina
The discussion in this lecture really made me think afterwards. Internet issues and fake news as well as recorded data is a very polarizing issue in our world today. Many things that we can see online are false and made up. Despoina makes a great point by arguing that the internet may make people disoriented from the physical world problems and what we are. The point of truth is very flexible because we believe that there is a universal point of truth from subjective realities primarily created for us by the data targeting market. From what I understood the rules that people follow on the internet are kind of like a game, same thing as social medias mechanisms of advertisement that keep people participating and getting addicted to scrolling and absorbing information. But if we look at this as if it is gamified, that means that there are certain rules that we follow, so if we break those rules, maybe it can lead to some breakthrough.
