Perfect Holiday Destination Part 1
Why did I only start writing this blog post 6 days before submitting the project?
I frankly do not know why I have not started writing it earlier, but so far have made tremedous progress on the project itself so I will probably step in and elaborate.
When it was firstly announced I had a little bit of thinking to do, what the hell, why was it so hard, probably due to the pandemic and how i would literally rather think about just how to not have to go out in public with a constant weird look on the face and hope to god I did not forget my mask at home than let alone think of a perfect holiday destination.
All sadness aside thought I started thinking of the beautifully fragile aspect of holidaying and sight seing. How it all just bacame a fond memory and a frown upon for the poeple of todays world.
It allegorized the idea of freely moving around and enjoying beauty and the aesthetic of mesmerising gothic cathedrals portraid the same feeling for me. In particular what cought my attention the most was the stained glass murals that felt “beautifully fragile” as well as the same out of human reach way that holidaying has become over the course of last year.
After thinking over the idea I thought again that maybe it is too sad and I should not take this hopeful cheering assignment and turn it into a sort of memorial to the many locations to which people can not get. But at the end of the day to be quite honest I would like to make something with a tiny bit of relevance to my mind state and the envirnment around me. So even if it does not look like paradise my internal instincs say to go with something less traditional than heaven on earth.
